SYNOPSIS:

Two incompetent DOGE agents, Dick and Jamie, along with a journalist named Cassie, encounter a murderous mermaid who has been fulfilling her annual killing quota of 10 people in Los Angeles. After apprehending the mermaid following a bloody convenience store massacre, they learn she's been banished by her father Triton for refusing an arranged marriage. When her lawyer Sebastian (a crab) and friend Scuttle (a bird) arrive at the police station, Cassie devises a plan to help the mermaid escape the agents who intend to abandon her in Mexico. With the help of Cassie's Aunt Maple and the sea creatures, they successfully free the mermaid by cutting her out of the agents' car trunk, while Sebastian steals the agents' passports at the border crossing, leaving them stranded in Mexico.
