Cyrus Toomey claims that in the near future mankind is going to undergo a rebirth; he knows because he's been to the future and seen it first-hand.

Detectives Prentiss and Harkin are assigned to investigate a string of murders linked to Toomey, and are eventually forced to ask themselves if Toomey is delusional, or if he knows something they don't.
