NUN OF YOUR BUSINES

NUN OF YOUR BUSINES
By Daniel Doble

GENRE: Romance, Comedy
LOGLINE:

A spirited 25-year-old would-be nun and a 40-year-old glamorous socialite from opposite worlds cross paths one night — and what begins as a rescue quickly blossoms into a forbidden connection that neither of them is prepared to confess.

SYNOPSIS:

When a rebellious young nun named Kate rescues a drunk corporate heiress off a city sidewalk, neither expects the spark that follows. Kate, a sharp-tongued firebrand with an unorthodox grip on faith, feels increasingly out of place in her crumbling convent. Sandra, heir to a powerful development empire, hides her vulnerability behind designer shades and biting wit. But when they cross paths on a night that begins in disaster and ends in a kiss — followed by vomit — something shifts in both of them. Their lives are on opposite tracks, but their chemistry is undeniable.

As the town prepares to demolish Trinity Church to make way for a luxury complex, Kate’s fight to save it becomes personal — and Sandra, unexpectedly, joins her. Together, they navigate corrupt city politics, Sandra’s ruthless family business, and the tension between Kate’s calling and her heart. What begins as a protest spirals into a movement, as Kate rallies the townspeople, the students she teaches, and even the media. But the pressure mounts — the city pushes back, the Church pulls away, and Sandra’s loyalty is questioned from both sides. The bond between them is tested as the stakes rise.

In the end, Kate risks everything — her position, her freedom, her faith — to speak truth to power. Sandra burns bridges of her own to stand beside her. Their final stand turns into a midnight mass, drawing a community out of silence and into defiance. Though arrested and shamed in the press, their story sparks something lasting. In each other, Kate and Sandra find not just love — but a reason to fight, to stay present, and to build something that might actually last.
