CRIMSON COD

CRIMSON COD
By Daniel Doble

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense
LOGLINE:

After a bored barista publicly predicts five major corporate moves that all come true, he uncovers a massive presidential corruption scheme and must risk everything to expose it before the system destroys him.

SYNOPSIS:

ACT ONE

Bored Portland barista Dylan Dunn accepts a harmless bar bet with his friends: make five bold public predictions in thirty days. To everyone's astonishment, every prediction comes true, turning the anonymous online personality "Double-D Ding Dong" into an overnight internet phenomenon. His growing audience attracts journalist Kimberly Kahn, who recognizes a much bigger story than viral fame.

As Dylan continues recognizing subtle patterns hidden within public records, corporate filings, and seemingly unrelated events, his predictions become increasingly specific—and increasingly accurate. What began as entertainment suddenly rattles powerful corporations and captures the attention of the White House.

When Dylan realizes the predictions are exposing a hidden network of corruption tied to influential political and financial figures, he decides he can no longer walk away.

ACT TWO

Dylan, Kimberly, and his loyal friend David Daughtry dig deeper into the growing conspiracy. Their investigation uncovers Crimson Cod, a covert financial operation connecting powerful businessman Miles Moro, Senator Herman Humphries, and President Thurman Thiel.

As Dylan's online following explodes, the government and corporate interests launch a coordinated effort to destroy his credibility. His bank accounts are frozen. David is arrested. Friends begin distancing themselves. Prediction Number Nine appears to fail, convincing the public that Dylan's remarkable streak has finally ended.

Kimberly arranges a televised interview, hoping Dylan can reveal everything to the nation. But powerful interests intervene before the interview can air, threatening the network and suppressing the broadcast. Dylan realizes the traditional media cannot expose people who ultimately control it.

Instead of retreating, he reaches a realization: the only way to defeat the system is to force it into the open where everyone can witness it simultaneously.

ACT THREE

Returning to an abandoned Portland print shop, Dylan, Kimberly, and David launch a live independent broadcast across multiple streaming platforms. Before millions of viewers, Dylan issues Prediction Number Ten, revealing that a concealed $412 million government transfer will occur within minutes and identifying its destination before it happens.

Federal agents converge on the building as the countdown reaches zero.

At exactly 10:14 PM, the transaction appears live on a publicly accessible government ledger exactly as Dylan predicted, exposing the corruption in real time before millions of witnesses. Tactical agents breach the building, but the evidence has already spread beyond anyone's control.

In the aftermath, congressional investigations begin, assets are frozen, resignations follow, and impeachment proceedings are initiated against President Thiel. Dylan, now in federal custody, refuses offers to explain his gift with formulas or algorithms.

When asked how he does it, he simply replies that there is no methodology.

"You just have to look around the thing."

As he quietly studies the movement of dust drifting through the prison air, Dylan continues seeing patterns no one else can. The world has changed—but he hasn't.
