A successful, talented trash-content vlogger discovers her life has been staged by her producer mother since birth and decides to destroy everything they built in order to become herself.
SYNOPSIS:
Martha (40) once dreamed of becoming a successful blogger, but her plans were derailed by an unexpected pregnancy. Ironically, her daughter’s live-streamed birth became a viral sensation, breaking records. That day, Martha made a decision: her daughter would become the star she never got to be.
From childhood, Alex (20) was raised to generate shocking online content—reaction videos and outrageous live streams. Her father, Philip (43), worked as the camera operator. Thanks to Martha’s knack for clickbait and Alex’s undeniable charisma, by twenty she’s one of the country’s biggest online influerces.
But inside, Alex is torn. She longs to create something meaningful, something that reflects her — like a travel vlog with camels. But afraid of seeming naive and ungrateful, she keeps this dream to herself.
Eventually, she confides in her father. To her surprise, Philip lights up — he’d love nothing more than to film whatever makes his daughter happy. But the secret doesn’t stay for long. Martha, always in control, sees everything via a hidden studio camera.
Determined to crush the distraction, Martha leaks the idea to another influencer. Soon, a viral “exposé” ridicules the camel vlog idea in a mocking, humiliating video. Alex is devastated. She confronts Philip, thinking he betrayed her. He denies it — and though he seems sincere, Alex withdraws further.
Martha seizes the moment, convincing Alex that camel travel vlogs are a nice fantasy, but real success lies in becoming the most watched blogger in the world. Alex, broken and uncertain, agrees.
But later, haunted by the situation, she replays her mother’s words and notices something strange. Martha referenced a detail about Alex’s idea that wasn’t told in the exposé. How could she know?
Alex starts connecting the dots. She traces a strange cable in the studio — one that connects to nothing. It all clicks. The surveillance, the manipulation, the betrayals. Her entire life has been one brilliantly staged reality show.
So Alex goes live. In a bold, explosive stream, she exposes her mother and deletes her entire channel — erasing twenty years of Martha’s legacy in one click. Then she leaves with her father to chase her dream.
Martha is left alone in a big empty house.
