SYNOPSIS:
A group of friends, all seasoned escape room enthusiasts, gather at the mysterious "Serpent's Lair" escape room, eager to test their skills. As they navigate the snake-infested room, they discover that the puzzles and challenges are designed to manipulate their deepest fears. As the group's situation becomes increasingly desperate, paranoia and hallucinations set in, causing them to turn on each other. They soon realize that the true horror lies not in the snakes, but in their own minds. With time running out, the group must confront their darkest fears and work together to escape the room. But as they think they've won, they uncover a sinister truth about the room's purpose and the mastermind behind it. The story explores themes of survival and teamwork, the blurring of reality and illusion and the power of fear and paranoia. I wrote this script to plunge audiences into a visceral and psychological horror experience, showing that the most terrifying things can be found within ourselves, even in a contained escape room. A well detailed treatment of the script is available.
