When a terminally ill man leaves his girlfriend in a foreign country without explanation to spend
his final days with his family, he secretly replaces himself with an AI chatbot. But a haunting
discovery sends her on a journey across India, where love, loss, and truth collide in unexpected
ways.
SYNOPSIS:
Emma, a passionate Canadian chef, and Arjun, her introspective Indian partner, are fighting to
save their failing dream restaurant in Vancouver. But just as they begin to turn things around,
Arjun is diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Determined to spare Emma the pain of
watching him die, he leaves for his family’s village in India, claiming a family emergency. As he
left, he creates and train Echo—an AI modelled after himself, infused with his voice, humour,
and love.
As Emma navigates heartbreak and debt, she leans on messages from “Arjun,” unaware they’re
coming from Echo. The AI becomes her unseen partner, proposing bold ideas—fusion cuisine,
pop-ups, viral campaigns—that transform the restaurant into a sensation. Emma, renewed with
purpose, books a surprise trip to India, eager to reunite.
But in India, her dream shatters. Arjun’s mother tells her he was swept away in a flood months
ago. His body was found. Cremated. Gone. When Emma calls his number, Echo answers in his
voice. The illusion breaks—yet the love lingers.
Grief-stricken, Emma discovers Arjun’s hidden laptop, a locked video message, and medical
records revealing his plan: he left to die in peace, using Echo to protect her heart. But clues in
his journal hint at a possible remission, and a journey through Ayurvedic healing.
Joined by Arjun’s younger brother, Emma embarks on a desperate quest across India, tracing
hospital records and spiritual retreats, chasing whispers of a miracle—and the truth about the
man she loves.
