Following his violent death, Sami and his spirit, Ka, are sent back to Earth to solve Sami’s murder and earn their return to the heavenly world of Aaru. Seth, the god of chaos, has other ideas.

SYNOPSIS:

Sami Tarek is sent back to the earthly world by the Egyptian god, Anubis. Sami is told by Anubis that he must solve his own murder and prove to the gods that he is ready to enter heaven and he will be aided by his spirit (Ka) in the quest.

When Sami returns to Earth he wakes up in a forest with amnesia and no recollection of how he got there. Sami makes it into town but finds that his girlfriend, Allison, is gone, bank accounts cashed-out, and his business closed.

When Sami collapses and blacks out, an old girlfriend, Elly, gets him to hospital. Police are alerted due to Sami’s injuries and find that Sami’s “missing” girlfriend, Allison, is living with Sami’s former employee, Freddie Zane, in a nearby town, where he runs a fish plant. Perhaps due to his amnesia Sami has more blackouts. During these periods the Ka leaves his body and travels unseen to other locations, to investigate on Sami’s behalf. The Ka aids Sami by providing him with dreams which help him remember details leading to his murder.

Through his dreams, Sami recalls catching Freddie and Allison using his shipping company to traffic Pink Meth for Tony Soriano, a Columbian cartel lieutenant. Sami tells the police of the incident. The police investigate and begin to suspect that Sami is himself connected to the Columbian drudge cartel and the pink meth that’s been hitting the streets recently.

As Sami sleeps, the Ka leaves his body and visits the fish plant managed by Freddie. The Ka uncovers a plan for fishing boats to pick up pink meth from a fish factory ship offshore and return with the drugs to the fish plant for packing and distribution. As the Ka investigates around the fishing port he is met by Seth, the god of chaos. Seth whips a rope at the Ka’s neck. The rope wraps itself around the Ka's neck and morphs into a snake, squeezing tighter and tighter.

The Ka stumbles backward, trips on the dock edge and falls into the dark water below. Seth looks down as bubbles rise from the water.
