In present-day NYC, the wraith of a murder victim possesses a series of women in deadly peril, empowering them to wreak terrible vengeance on their attackers as she seeks vengeance from the grave against her own killer.

SYNOPSIS:

Natalia Cortez is a young NYC councilwoman running for mayor. Attacked while jogging, she is possessed by the wraith of Leandra, a young prostitute who was killed by her pimp, Wardell John. After Natalia savagely kills her assailant. Leandra’s spirit departs, leaving Natalia unconscious.

Questioned in hospital by detective Claudia Gutierrez, Natalia remembers nothing afterward except for the haunting face of Wardell John. Lauded as a hero, Natalia’s poll numbers rise dramatically; although she is greatly conflicted about her new public image. As another woman kills her abuser under similar circumstances, Claudia’s investigation leads her and Natalia into the secretive world of Afro-Caribbean dark magic and a fateful encounter with the malevolent Wardell John.
