Two bags. One day. Zero names. A Christmas mix-up leaves two strangers with each other’s gifts, triggering a Christmas Eve scavenger hunt with a handful of clues, a ticking clock, and the growing feeling they are destined to meet.
SYNOPSIS:
Jenny uses her comfortable life as a shield, especially around Christmas. Owen's quieter world revolves around thoughtful routines and the people who rely on him. When a shopping bag mix-up throws them off course, what begins as a race against time reveals that sometimes misplacing something is exactly how you discover what's really been missing all along.
Synopsis
When Jenny picks up the wrong shopping bag after a brief encounter with a handsome stranger on a crowded Christmas Eve train, she discovers her carefully chosen gifts have been replaced by someone else's equally thoughtful purchases.
Across town, Owen faces the same dilemma. With help from Jake, the teenage neighbour he's always thought of as the brother he never had, Owen sets out to track down the mystery shopper. Meanwhile, Jenny teams up with her sharp-eyed 11-year-old niece Ivy to solve the case from their end.
As both pairs follow clues through bookshops, vintage stores, and comic shops, Jenny and Owen learn about each other through their gift choices… discovering more than any dating app could ever reveal.
What starts as a mission to retrieve Christmas presents becomes something deeper for both of them. Jenny, still guarded after a painful breakup, finds herself genuinely intrigued by this thoughtful stranger. Owen is drawn to someone kind hearted, who clearly values their family. Through near-misses and heartfelt discoveries, two strangers begin falling for each other before they've even properly met.
When they finally spot each other on a train platform, the mutual recognition confirms what they've both been feeling… but the train pulls away before they can connect.
Some last minute detective work finally leads Owen and Jake to Jenny's sister's house on Christmas Day. The gift exchange becomes the beginning of something much more valuable: Jenny and Owen discover that sometimes the best connections happen when you're not looking for them.
