EVIDENCE OF DECEPTION
By Daniel Fish

GENRE: Thriller, Crime
LOGLINE:

When his ex-wife goes missing and he becomes the prime suspect, seasoned Chicago detective Vince Marchelli must unravel a chilling conspiracy built on grief and revenge. A grieving father blames Vince for the death of his son and will stop at nothing to ruin him—even if it means murder.

SYNOPSIS:

Detective Vince Marchelli is no stranger to making hard choices. Based in Chicago, his work has cost him his marriage and peace of mind, but he always believed in doing his job by the book. Years ago, Vince refused to bend police policy to help a distraught father, Ron Gallagher, whose son Ethan feared for his life after witnessing a violent crime. Without merit for protective custody, Vince couldn’t act, leaving Ethan vulnerable. Tragically, Ethan was murdered days later.

Years after the incident, Vince’s personal life spirals into turmoil as his ex-wife, Linda, goes missing. Evidence inexplicably points to Vince himself, landing him behind bars. Released on bail, Vince enlists sharp defense attorney Carmen Alvarez and relentless private investigator Noah Matheson to help clear his name. As they investigate, they uncover the connection to Ron Gallagher, whose grief over Ethan’s death has turned into a vengeful obsession. Determined to make Vince pay for what he sees as negligence, Ron orchestrated a sinister plot—framing Vince for Linda’s disappearance and possibly worse.

As the trio races against time to uncover Ron’s machinations, Vince confronts the ghosts of his past decisions and wrestles with the fragile line between duty and compassion. With lives hanging in the balance, Vince must outsmart his enemy and prove his innocence—but redemption comes at a steep price.
