KIDZKOURTROOM: THE COURT RISES

KIDZKOURTROOM: THE COURT RISES
By Marlon Gavironda

GENRE: Family, Mystery
LOGLINE:

In a town where drones record everything and edited videos decide everything,
five twelve-year-olds rescue a wounded pigeon, are falsely accused, and build
the one room where truth cannot be cut — only to discover their town is not
the only one that needs it.

SYNOPSIS:

Crestview is a quiet American town running on Apex Logistics — a delivery-drone company with a friendly logo and a colder operation underneath. At dawn, twelve-year-old Mia Salazar pulls a wounded pigeon out of the path of an Apex drone. A neighbor films the wrong angle: five kids chasing a bird, not the machine that hunted it. The clip is edited, posted, and viral by breakfast. By lunch, the school has opened a hearing — and Mia's mother has quietly lost Apex as her biggest client.

Mia and her four friends — James, Liam, Sarah, and Brittany — have ten days to prove what really happened before the town decides for them. Behind the school library they find a forgotten room with a cracked dome and a hand-carved chair, and there they build something the adults stopped believing in: a place where you listen before you judge, and where no clip gets to speak for you.

They win the hearing — barely. Then the phone rings. A kid two towns over, a house with mirrored windows, a woman with a cane who gave him the number. It turns out Crestview isn't the only town that needs the room.

Serialized family mystery with a restorative heart — for the wide-open space between Bluey and Stranger Things.
