During the height of the French Revolution, a young rural woman is recruited by
Robespierre to serve as a secret executioner-forcing her to balance motherhood,
loyalty, and survival as political power turns increasingly lethal.
SYNOPSIS:
Set during the French Revolution, LUPAE follows Beaulah, a young woman whose
quiet life as a farmer’s wife and mother is disrupted when she is covertly recruited by
the Revolutionary government. Under the guise of a palace gardener, she performs
state-sanctioned executions as political paranoia escalates. As violence becomes
routine and ideology hardens into terror, Beaulah struggles to preserve her humanity
and protect her family. Years later, the legacy of her service resurfaces through her
daughter, revealing how systems of power endure across generations.
