LIONFISH

LIONFISH
By Bob Brazys

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

As a young woman in a small west Texas town her father was everything to her. Her playmate, her provider (got her everything she ever asked for), and her protector. He was the hardest working man she had ever met and that's saying a lot being from west Texas. Never a rich man, always tired and sore from work, she vowed she would get him a tropical paradise to retire in if it was the last thing she did.

Lionfish is the story of how this flashy but otherwise seemingly insignificant little girl would do whatever she had to to give her daddy everything he dreamed of. From a accidental encounter with a drug dealer in Texas, to Chicago where she found even richer men to entangle, to Turks and Caicos where the dream is finally achieved... or is it?

SYNOPSIS:

Lionfish are invasive species in the Caribbean and when the move onto a reef, they decimate the local population and destroy the ecosystem. Our girl is both our hero and our villain (at times). This cunning and relentless individual is both your best friend and your least favorite human, sometimes simultaneously.

This story is a rollercoaster of emotions that finds you both cheering for our hero to win and hoping she can be stopped before it's too late.

Lionfish is a character-driven crime drama that explores the moral complexities of ambition, family devotion, and the destructive nature of obsession. Like the invasive lionfish that decimates Caribbean reefs, our protagonist's single-minded pursuit leaves devastation in its wake, even as we understand and sometimes root for her motivations.
