Visiting aliens try to understand how sex, war and The Golden Rule works on Earth in order to stop an impending nuclear war.
SYNOPSIS:
Act I - Black aliens learn on Time TV that nuclear war will destroy not only our planet but much of theirs as well. In their quest to change our behavior before the future arrives, the highly intelligent species try hard but cannot figure out how or why we treat each other the way we do.
Frustration mounts as the aliens treat us the way White people often treat Black people, not well. Tropes and stereotypes are stood on their heads in the midst of the great struggle to save the human race. Meanwhile, a love affair for the ages erupts between a horny alien teenager and the President's lovely daughter despite a clash of very different, often amusing cultures. The teenager introduces her to alien traditions and their dissimilar method of reproduction. The President's wife, a seasoned bigot, abhors everything alien, repeatedly telling her husband they are different and there's a reason why they call 'em "alien".
Act II - The plot focuses a President only interested in his own re-election and short-term political gain, ignoring the alien leader's sense of urgency. He takes lightly alien attempts to broker a peace agreement between him and a barbarian chieftain. Derailing everything is the sudden appearance of the aliens' long-time nemesis, a giant gargoyle who wants to show he means business so he incinerates the Washington Monument with his fiery breath and demands obedience from everyone.
Act III - As the Doomsday clock winds down, it dawns on people that the aliens might be right and they panic. Despite the fact that going to war cannot solve our problems, the President and his staff can't think of any other way to react and challenge the gargoyle to a mano a mano fight with the barbarian chieftain, knowing the barbarian cannot win. When the barbarian loses the match, he reacts like a poor sport, hurling nuclear bombs at the gargoyle who easily freezes them in place, promising to turn them around and release them back in our direction unless we pledge fealty to him. Now, the Time TV broadcast becomes more understandable and many resign themselves to the end of the world. In desperation, the President realizes he must change before it is too late, deciding to treat others the way he would want to be treated. He walks onto the gargoyle's spaceship where no one can save him and attempts to make a personal connection with the gargoyle, sharing his favorite music and food. Amazingly, since the gargoyle has never had a friend, he changes his mind and spares the human race after he is offered a lifetime supply of fresh, hot pizza, an irresistible delicacy he has never tasted. Earthlings rejoice at the unexpected turn of events except for the President's bigoted wife, who must contend with his her daughter's plans to marry the horny alien teenager. In the end, though, she reconciles with their wishes by giving into her burning desire to join a chorus line of Earthlings and aliens as they dance to the tune of "My Girl Is Out Of This World" at the kids' wedding.
