A schoolteacher visiting her lover’s secluded home discovers his dead daughter is still part of the family.
SYNOPSIS:
After a drunken night at the legendary Edna Collins Bridge, Linda follows Evan to his isolated mountain house. Evan is gentle, strange, and devoted to his nine-year-old daughter, Rebecca, whose presence in the house quickly begins to feel less like a child and more like a haunting. When Linda discovers the horrifying truth about Rebecca, she tries to escape quietly. But the door is locked, her phone is useless, the car won’t start, and Evan’s calm, intimate rituals pull her deeper into a birthday celebration that feels less like a party than a trap. As Linda uncovers fragments of missing women, a dead wife, an old bridge accident, and a buried family tragedy, she becomes convinced she has been chosen as the next victim. But inside a house built from grief, denial, and memory, the truth is not hidden. It is simply being read through fear.
