THE CRUSH DIARIES

THE CRUSH DIARIES
By Milan Pitamber

GENRE: Romance, Drama
LOGLINE:

A hyper‑logical, autistic billionaire teen’s world is turned upside down when he develops an unexpected crush on the warm, chaotic girl in his building — forcing him to confront emotions he can’t quantify while navigating school politics, sensory overload, and first love.

SYNOPSIS:

Ryder Collins is a hyper‑logical, autistic billionaire teen whose life runs on routine, data, and perfectly controlled environments — from his Tribeca penthouse Snow Room to his spreadsheet‑based social rules. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Chloe, a warm, intuitive girl who lives three floors below him and sees the world in the exact opposite way: through feelings, spontaneity, and human connection. When school forces them to work together on Student Council projects, a gentle and unexpected bond begins to form between them.

As Ryder tries to make sense of emotions he can’t quantify, Chloe becomes his “sensory anchor,” helping him navigate friendships, overwhelm, and the messy chaos of first love. Meanwhile, Ryder’s overenthusiastic friends Zara and Kaylee become convinced the two are secretly dating, launching hilariously disastrous “spy missions” to catch them in the act. Between chaotic Starbucks mix‑ups, rooftop heart‑to‑hearts, and school events full of drama, Ryder’s carefully engineered world begins to open — revealing parts of himself he never knew existed.

But love isn’t a straight line. Ryder must confront his fear of emotional unpredictability, while Chloe faces the pressure of being seen as his “calming force” instead of her own full person. Together, they learn that relationships are not equations — they’re stories you write with another person. Their journey becomes a tender, funny, chaotic exploration of trust, neurodiversity, teen identity, and first love… and the beginning of the larger arc that will eventually lead into Straight Up Chaos.

Really excited to share the official logline for The Crush Diaries! I’d love to hear your thoughts — feel free to drop a rating out of 5 stars and any feedback you think could make it even stronger. Thanks for checking it out!

Minor suggestion for improvement:

You could slightly tighten the second paragraph — some of the middle beats (Starbucks mix‑ups, school events) could be summarized more succinctly to maintain narrative flow. That would make the emotional arc pop even more.

Overall, it reads like the setup for a moving, witty, cinematic coming‑of‑age romance with genuine representation and heart.
