Humans are now interplanetary in the year 2127, and there is a national growing prejudice against Venusians. The three lead characters are introduced, all are which are Venusians: Dr. Jovis Onyx – a congressman, and Tanis Onyx and Jacob McKinney which are both detectives. As Jovis sits in the US Capitol Hall for a hearing, there is a large explosion in the Capitol, killing the President, Speaker of the House, and multiple members of Congress.

Tanis and Jacob are assigned by the government to uncover if this was a terrorist attack and if so, who is responsible. The two detectives begin their work and discover evidence that makes the prime suspect Jovis. Believing that Jovis has been set up, the two rush to find out by whom; before the required time to turn in their reports for the day expires. Failing to show concrete evidence to Vice President Tycho, Jovis is slated to be tortured. Tycho, with his own prejudice against Venusians, plans to use Jovis as a demonstration of why Venusians are a disease of the world. To secure his plans, Tycho sends out his top officer, General Martin, to eliminate leads to show Jovis’ incidence – even if resulting to murder.

Tanis and Jacob resume investigation and interview the suspects with their findings. The suspects are corrupt, but it’s impossible to show them as responsible for the terrorist attack. Panic sets in because Jovis is now sentenced to execution. As Tanis and Jacob interview the last suspect, the suspect asks compelling questions that leads Tanis to believe that Jacob is responsible and set up Jovis. Tanis begins her own quite investigation into Jacob and discovers concrete evidence proving her theories. Jovis is released and Jacob is brought in to be executed. As they cross paths, Jacob pleads to Jovis that he has been set up by Tanis. Jacob is executed.

Jovis loves his sister but is compelled to know the truth. Going to Martin’s apartment, Jovis accesses conversations between Martin and Tycho, but also uncovers a deep plot that Martin and Tanis hatched together. Tanis held hatred against Jacob for framing her romantic interest and crafted a revenge scheme with Martin. With only a few guards at the Capitol at night, Jovis slips in and gathers a physical object for evidence. Martin rushes over to stop Jovis. Jovis escapes and heads to find the last pieces of evidence on Lunar Mecca, the international hub for all Earth’s nations which is located on the Moon. Right as Jovis sends all his findings to Tycho, Martin catches up to him. Jovis and Martin duel with their words and fists as they fight on the surface of the Moon. The police arrive and bring Martin into custody.

Before Martin and Tanis are sent back to Earth to be executed, Jovis speaks one last time with Tanis and offers himself in the stead of Tanis. Tycho predicted that Jovis would try to sacrifice himself for Tanis, and consequently sentenced Jovis to a life sentence on Lunar Mecca. Tanis and Martin return to Earth and are executed. Tycho delivers a final speech to begin the eradication of all Venusians on Earth. Devastated and overwhelmed by his inability to stop Tycho, Jovis smashes the grand window in Lunar Mecca and floats lifeless into the dark void of space.
