THE MEMORY WARS: THE OBLIVION PROTOCOL

THE MEMORY WARS: THE OBLIVION PROTOCOL
By Rachel Mensch

GENRE: Sci-fi
LOGLINE:

A brilliant analyst discovers she was once the designer of the government’s memory-altering technology. Now, she must destroy her own creation before they erase what little freedom remains.

SYNOPSIS:

In a tightly controlled dystopian society, the government maintains power by erasing and rewriting memories through advanced nanotechnology. Dani, a rising data analyst at the Ministry of Security, unknowingly enforces this system — until a cryptic drawing and a chance encounter with a rebel named Nick unravel the truth.

Haunted by fragments of a past she doesn’t remember, Dani discovers she helped create the very program used to enslave the population. Betrayed by those she trusted, she joins the underground Resistance, determined to restore stolen memories and bring down the system.

As the government tightens its grip, the Resistance launches a desperate mission to override the memory mainframe and restore the memories of the populace. But when Dani learns the original memories have been erased, their only hope is to destroy the entire system. In a final, high-stakes battle, Dani uploads her own original memories and detonates an EMP, wiping out the technology — but at the cost of her own memories, and those of their greatest nemesis.

Now a blank slate, she becomes both a symbol of hope and a question mark in the fight for true freedom, as the war for control over the past — and the future — has only just begun.
