RIDE & SHOW (ORIGINAL TV/EPISODIC SERIES)
By Todd Fabyanic

GENRE: Family, Drama
LOGLINE:

A struggling writer returns home and reunites with his family, who all work at the theme park “Wonderland,” where they’ve all built their lives around—only to discover that balancing work, family, friends, and community becomes the greatest ride of his life.

SYNOPSIS:

Ride & Show is a heartfelt dramedy set behind the colorful gates of a hometown amusement park where family bonds are as tangled as roller coaster tracks. When Richard Parker’s big-city dreams collapse and his father’s sudden death pulls him back home, he reluctantly steps into a job writing for the park’s weekly newspaper. What begins as a temporary fallback quickly becomes a front-row seat to the complicated, funny, and deeply human stories unfolding around him—especially within his own family.

Each episode follows a three-part structure: the personal world of the Parker family, the lively chaos of the theme park workplace, and the way both collide in the story Richard chooses to publish. Through his writing, Richard captures the emotional truth behind everyday moments—celebrating triumphs, confronting conflicts, and revealing the real lives hidden behind cheerful attractions.

At the center of the series is Richard’s lifelong struggle with his older brother Mike—confident, accomplished, and seemingly perfect. Mike has always defined success, leaving Richard feeling invisible. Now back home as an adult, Richard is determined to be seen and respected as an equal. But Mike’s pride and stubbornness make that recognition hard-won, turning their relationship into the emotional backbone of the show.

Blending warmth, humor, and grounded realism, Ride & Show explores how people grow when they return to where they started—and how family, like any great ride, is thrilling, messy, and impossible to control.
