SYNOPSIS:

Kay Wright is an outlandish, popular radio host at a well-known radio station. She is hell on wheels, yet a

very loving single mother to her three teenagers. Listeners either adore or hate her morning show Ask Kay, but either way they are compelled to tune in, making her a local celebrity in Chicago, IL.

But for all Kay’s bawdy confidence and public persona of being one who’s on top of her game,

unapologetic and never holding back, she is in fact haunted by many demons and tormented by weighty

long held secrets - not the least of which being she’s a high-functioning prescription drug addict. And

that’s just to start!

When the series begins, Kay’s just won her third NAB award and appears to be queen bee of the local

airwaves, and still rising! But then her long estranged husband - the great love of her life and father of her

three children- pops up at her doorstep after fifteen years of being totally M.I.A. Reeling from the shock,

and facing the cascading Pandora's box of what his return is about to unleash, Kay triples her regular

morning dose of Percocet and heads to work, oblivious to the fact she's soaring higher than a satellite!

And now for the first time EVER, her boss discovers her massive addiction problem, finding her passed

out and drooling in the employee lounge. Given fourteen days to get clean or get out, Kay now begins a

slow plank-walk into the hellish universe of all her lies, denial, self-abuse and self-hatred, which she’d thought she could forever avoid, telling herself always, “You got this…” Does she?
