Jack Hofman is a broke author who finds out he has a son from a long-lost girlfriend. Between his dream of a magnum opus and the reality of fatherhood, Jack has to earn his son´s love and ex-girlfriend´s respect.

SYNOPSIS:

Jack Hofman works at a grocery store. After finding out about his long-lost son, he loses that job and starts being mentored by elderly neigbor Frank Kelly, who also asks him to mow his lawn. Mr. Kelly recommends him a gym, and, after that, he finds work as a car carage sweeper and impresses his hardened boss and the latter´s arrogant business partner. In the end, his book is published and his son becomes a music star.
