SYNOPSIS:

As Tommy concludes his first semester of senior year, he battles his desires while trying to be the first in his family to attend college and fulfill his dream of becoming a politician. While being tugged between his friends and his studies, we learn the tragic backstories of his life-long best friends Roy and Mason. After getting closer to Emily, his almost-girlfriend, Tommy wants to impress her by inviting her to a big house party. Roy and Mason convince him they can get him alcohol for the party. Little does Tommy know, they are walking him into a breaking and entering to steal alcohol.

After being the lookout for a break-in, Tommy reevaluates his friendship with Roy and Mason. However, Tommy is now in deep waters with Emily after lashing out at her during an argument. Under stress from the break-in, Tommy now feels he lost his potential girlfriend and best friends. Desperate to make up with Emily, Tommy reunites with Roy to break into a house to obtain alcohol. Roy manipulates Tommy into being more involved in the break-in. Tommy finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place when the break-in goes wrong. Mason stabs the homeowner to save Roy from being beaten to death, while Tommy decides to flee and save himself. Mason goes on a wild goose chase with the police, ending with Mason struck by a police car.

After Mason's death makes the news, Roy and Tommy brainstorm an alibi and clash into a fistfight. When Tommy walks home covered in blood and bruises, he’s stopped by the police and taken in. The police know Tommy is involved in the break-in but now he’s accused of the murder. Feeling partially guilty for Mason's death and Roy's beating, Tommy contemplates his loyalty to his friends or his future. Alone and afraid, Tommy must decide between his only friend standing and what’s left of his ambitious future.
