BUSY

BUSY
By Cesar Sanchis Romero

GENRE: Independent, Experimental
LOGLINE:

In a world consumed by productivity and digital overload, two strangers trapped in relentless routines must confront their growing dependence on technology before it destroys their relationships—and themselves.

SYNOPSIS:

In a world obsessed with productivity, Penny and Danny are trapped in an endless loop of tasks, digital distractions, and pressure to perform. Rushing from one obligation to the next, they live each day on autopilot, terrified of the silence that inactivity might bring. But as their stress builds, their lives begin to unravel in a visual and emotional spiral.

Through split screens and accelerating rhythms, "Busy" unfolds as a collective breakdown — an unrelenting montage of people lost in the race to "do more." In its haunting climax, the screen fractures into sixteen scenes of exhaustion, each one collapsing into an unsettling silence.

"Busy" is a psychological drama that challenges the modern obsession with constant productivity, reflecting on the toll of self-exploitation, the fear of emptiness, and the forgotten art of simply living.
