THE ALCHEMY OF LOVE
By Ella Asvar

GENRE: Romance, Comedy
LOGLINE:

A brilliant but awkward scientist creates a magical formula to attract women, only to discover that true chemistry can’t be bottled—especially when a witty barista challenges his theories and his heart.

SYNOPSIS:

Ted, a socially awkward but brilliant scientist, believes that love is just chemistry—literally. Through a series of secret experiments, he develops a mysterious formula that makes him irresistibly attractive to women. Every time he visits a local café, his presence creates a stir, except for Emma, the sharp and confident barista who remains unimpressed by his charm.

Determined to win her over, Ted tries every trick in his scientific arsenal, but nothing seems to work. In a desperate final attempt, he plans to make her jealous by bringing another woman to the café, but the plan backfires. Frustrated and defeated, Ted’s experiments go terribly wrong when his formulas explode, leaving him without his so-called magic.

Forced to face Emma as his true self—no potions, no tricks—Ted is surprised when she finally takes an interest in him. As they engage in a playful yet deep conversation, she reveals that she, too, has been working on a special formula: the perfect cup of coffee. Inviting him to her place to taste it, Ted discovers that her coffee has an unexpected effect on him. After just one sip, a new kind of chemistry takes over—one that’s real.

In a passionate moment, Ted realizes that love isn’t something that can be created in a lab—it’s something that happens naturally. As he and Emma surrender to their desires, he asks the only question that truly matters: “Will you give me this formula?”

And with that, the experiment is finally complete.
