SYNOPSIS:
A young man Dylan, full of optimism and contentment, is suddenly shaken when his loving parents reveal the truth—he was adopted. Driven by a desire to learn about his origins, he embarks on a search for his biological family. His journey leads him to his late grandparents' abandoned house, where he uncovers a dusty old box hidden away. Inside, he finds photographs of his biological parents, as well as himself as a baby, sparking a series of unsettling discoveries. As he delves deeper into his family's past, he learns that his father killed his mother in a fit of jealous rage. However, this revelation is only the beginning. Through interactions with other surviving relatives, more dark and twisted family secrets come to light. These revelations challenge everything he thought he knew about love, family, and loyalty, leaving him emotionally wrecked. The story is punctuated with flashbacks of his parents’ lives, offering insight into their toxic relationship and the events leading to his mother’s death. These flashbacks also highlight his father’s possessiveness, insecurities, and secrets, further complicating the young man's understanding of his heritage. The emotional climax occurs when the protagonist faces an excruciating decision: should he confront his father, now imprisoned for the murder of his mother, or walk away from the trauma forever? Visiting his father may provide closure—or it may unleash even more painful truths.
