SYNOPSIS:

Anthony Capello has one goal in life: to be seen as an equal to his older brother Carmine Capello. It’s 1978, and it’s been two months since Anthony has taken over for Carmine at the Trove Casino after Senator Rothman threatened Carmine with racket charges, forcing him into temporary hiding. When minor issues present themselves, pride and rookie mistakes become business losses in an attempt to fix the problems on his own and without the influence of his older brother. Anthony makes the decision to ask for help “outside the family.” Already aware of the possible consequences, The man Anthony reaches out to sends in a third party (Alec Belsky) to help Anthony at the casino. What should have been a gesture of guidance turns into the spark that reignites a censurable rivalry.

The benefits of Alec’s presence were apparent, and things seemed to operate as planned until one night. When the Senator’s son disappears and, all clues point to Alec. Law enforcement makes a prominent presence at the casino, looking for answers. Anthony dodges interrogations and convinces Carmine's loyal Confidant (James) that he has everything under control. Senator Rothman begins to take things into his own hands, demanding the identity of his son's murderer. Word returns to Carmine, who sends his son (Pauly) in for damage control. Anthony’s strained relationship with his nephew often causes disagreements, especially at the casino—tensions peak when Carmine chooses Pauly to attend the union gala in his absence instead of Anthony. Pauly rubs shoulders with a family rival at the Gala, who convinces him to question Anthony’s motives and intent at the Trove casino. James receives essential information regarding Alec and his involvement in black-market organ trafficking. This was the missing piece to what happened to Senator Rothman’s son and other gamblers at the Trove Casino, who met the same fate under the hands of Alec Belsky.

Walls begin to close in, Alec’s presence is now more perplexed than beneficial, and Anthony can’t seem to cut ties with him. Back at the Trove, Anthony continues his routine as Alec continues his. While still trying to gain full control of the casino and Anthony, Alec uses deceitful tactics to get Anthony’s blessing to murder his nephew Pauly. Carmine decides he can’t sit on the sideline anymore; with threats from law enforcement and acute circumstances, his presence must be calculated. As the situation spirals out of control, Anthony finds himself cornered and forced to make a cowardly escape. Leaving Carmine to confront the chaos.
