SYNOPSIS:
DR. JAMES RICHERT witnesses a FATHER and MOTHER attacked and killed SCROUNGERS in front of their children. James could have saved them but chickened out at the last second. James consults his virtual AI, Samantha, that is present in his advanced RV about moving to a safer spot. Before that can happen, James comes across the bloody aftermath of a shootout. UNCLE RICH and an infant ALI have survived and need James’ help. Uncle Rich tells James that Ali is immune to the virus wiped out most of humanity and caused the post-apocalyptic world. Uncle Rich dies, and James leaves the infant Ali to fend for herself on the side of the road but guilt forces him to return moments later. He ventures to take Ali to a woman who can get her to Topeka.
GARADEN ROTH, a sadistic colony leader who ordered the kidnapping of Ali, and his top Captain, DALIA, discover that someone has taken Ali. James takes Ali to the guarded house of a friend, MARGARET. James wants Margaret to take care of Ali until he can get word to the infant’s family in Topeka. However, Margaret is in poor health and cannot take on the burden. Guilted by his shameful past, James finally agrees to take on the responsibility of returning Ali back to her home in Topeka.
James is pulled over by a cybernetic police officer of the old world, INTERCEPTOR, who decides to help James get Ali to safety. Garaden, Dalia, and their men are hot on James’s tail. James and the Interceptor see a MOTORCYCLIST get killed on the now deadly interstate. Garaden’s gang, most notably RANDAL “TATER” BECKETT, are onto James’ trail. Tater finds Ali and moves to capture her, but it’s revealed she’s a hologram James set up with his AI. Tater and his pack are shot. Interceptor tells James to flee with Ali while he tries to draw the enemy away. James successfully loses the gang when he transforms part of his RV into a gun turret.
The RV breaks down, and James must stop to repair it. James decides to give Ali to Interceptor to take her the rest of the way. James is shot by Garaden, who offers a spot in his group to James. Garaden reveals to James that ransoming Ali back to her father, former U.S. Senator HAROLD LARSON, is the only way to get the location of a hidden underground city hosting the Illuminati—who Garaden blames for releasing the deadly virus. James refuses. Garaden and his gang go after Interceptor while a bleeding Tater stays behind to make sure James does not refuse their offer. Tater dies in a scuffle with James, but James is badly wounded. James’s passes out from the pain and the past vision of him failing to save a mentally handicap patient of his, SAM, from a collapsing building.
When James comes to, bloody and battered, he returns to his RV to go save Ali. Garaden is already in hot pursuit of Interceptor and Ali. A high-speed class between Interceptor and Garaden’s men ensues, which forces them onto the dangerous interstate. Dalia is killed by James ramming his RV into her vehicle. Interceptor is blown to pieces while protecting Ali from Garaden. With the RV on its last legs, James bails out of it using an escape hatch, seeming to leave a crying Ali. Garaden and his men enter the RV only to see they’ve been played. The RV’s generator explodes—taking Garaden and all his men instantly.
Weeks later James finally reaches Ali’s former settlement in Topeka. Ali is reunited with her father and the rest of their colony. In the arms of her father, Ali reaches out an open hand to James. He takes it and the sins of his past wash away.

This sounds thrilling, Adam Stayberg! Solid logline except for one small thing. I think "navigates" sounds better than "must navigate."
