LOGLINE:

When attorney Rachel Winston is cast back in time to a mining town fueling the Civil War with its gold, she struggles to survive in those wild times even as its indomitable people ignite the strength she needs to overcome the tragedies of her childhood.

SYNOPSIS:

Following the death of her cherished grandfather, hard-driving and defiant Chicago attorney Rachel Winston is lured into a dangerous game with organized crime. While attempting to protect a young witness, she is tracked down by his brutal family and shot.

Awakening to find herself dressed in old-fashioned clothing in an antique-filled room, she draws the terrifying conclusion that she’s been kidnapped and hidden away in a remote location. She tries to escape only to be confronted by residents who claim she’s in a gold mining town in 1864. Despite her disbelief and rebellion, she is claimed as one of their own by the rowdy, steadfast Milford family, and inexorably pulled into the community.

Thrown together in the midst of a furious storm, Rachel if lifted to safety by Ethan Stonehill, who is recovering from the physical and emotional injuries of the Civil War. Eventually, and for the first time in her life, Rachel allows the undeniable love from Ethan and the Milfords to heal the deep wounds of her childhood.
