By Timika S. Chambers

GENRE: Adventure, Sci-fi
LOGLINE:

The last Light Angel must help teenagers hone their supernatural ability to stop a 66-million-year-old asteroid remnant from destroying Earth and fight avenging dark angels; however they must remove the Staff of Realms, an iron scepter, from the meteorite to maximize their powers and save Earth.

SYNOPSIS:

Billions of years ago, harmony reigned among the angels on Planet Ur, the planet of time. But, an angel who turned to darkness after experiencing lost on planet Earth, seeks revenge on all of humanity.

In Act 1, we see light angels in white cornered by dark angels in black at a mountain on Planet UR, the planet of time. Master Uzock, a polyglot and leader of the dark angel revolt, uses a Light Extractor, a weapon he created, to strip beings of their inner goodness. Before having all of his light extracted, the weakened Grand Master Shinzo imparts to Shoko, a young light angel, his earthly mission to prepare the chosen superheroes to save Earth and gives him the Staff of Realms. Before Master Uzock captures the rest of Master Shinzo’s light, Master Shinzo states the theme of the movie: light always dispels darkness. Shoko is unsuccessful in thwarting the asteroid unleashed by Master Uzock, and Earth experiences a mass explosion. Fast forward to May 20, 2028, in Tokyo, Japan. Earth is experiencing warmer temperatures and increasing frequencies and intensities of earthquakes globally. Over the next four weeks, Earth baptizes five teenagers with its Elements- twin brothers with fire and the others with water, electricity, and darkness.

In Act 2, the dark angels invade Earth. Master Uzock revisits the apartment building where he lost the love of his life, which is across the street from the school the superheroes attend. After meeting the superheroes, Master Uzock retreats to prolong human suffering. Then, Shoko appears and convinces the children to follow him. At his hideout, Shoko confirms Earth’s chosen heroes of their newfound abilities, explains their mission, and starts to train them. We learn that Master Uzock and the dark angels created Darkness Supreme, a conglomerate of anger, bitterness and hatred in the form of a black drageon. But, before Shoko can fully train the superheroes, Illusion, a female dark angel and master of confusion, enlisted by Darkness Supreme, kidnaps him. Afterward, the superheroes meet James, the rebel with the power of geokinesis.

In Act 3, the superheroes' false victory inhibits Master Uzock and the dark angels from using their wings, causing Master Uzock to force his daughter, Alexis, to transport them back to Planet UR. While trying to save Alexis, Brian is kidnapped, too. Master Uzock consumes Darkness Supreme's energy, a conglomerate of anger, bitterness, hatred, resentment, and vengeance. Alexis, Brian, and Shoko return to Earth in time to help the rest of the superheroes remove the asteroid. In the grand battle, Shoko faces his uncle, Master Uzock and becomes a Grand Master. Master Shoko and the superheroes return everyone’s light and restores Earth.

If the elements are the superheroes, why are the children the superheroes? Are the children elements?

Timika S. Chambers

Thank you so much Rose for commenting. Yes...Earth baptizes the children in its Elements to save itself.

I am purposefully not reading your synopsis as you logline should ideally stand on its own. Is Earth personified? Who is responsible for the mass destruction? What is the form of mass destruction? Nuclear war? Pollution? A rogue asteroid? The connection between the use of “elements” in the title and “children” is not clear to me. If the earth is damaged, nature will fix it over time. Children aren’t necessary. Making children responsible for saving the planet is a heavy ask. It could seem almost immoral, if not presented in the right way.
