A NICE PLACE TO VISIT
By Jack Warner

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense, Horror
LOGLINE:

A burned-out psychic is convinced by a small-town police force to come out of retirement and help them convict a serial killer who may have supernatural powers of his own.

SYNOPSIS:

Aldo Carpe, who is suspected in a series of children being murdered in a small town in eastern Washington, is brought into custody in a battle with police that may have exposed his psychic abilities (or be blamed on an explosive device).

Although he has been present at each of the murders that he has been suspected of, the evidence is circumstantial.

So in a desperate attempt to try and find more to link him to the crimes, they ask a retired detective, Loren Toungson, who is also a renowned psychic who published a memoir about her final harrowing case, to come to help them gather enough evidence to convict Aldo.

During her investigation, she discovers disturbing evidence against Aldo about how and why he committed his crimes.

All the while, Aldo is psychically manipulating Loren from his cell as he plots his escape.

After he is able to free himself from his prison, he confronts Loren at her hotel and psychically causes her husband's heart to stop. In a fit of rage, Loren is able to mentally lift Aldo up and throw him out the window where he retreats to his home.

With her husband recovering in the hospital, Loren goes to Aldo's home to find the final piece of evidence to convict Aldo only to have a battle with him that is psychological, telekinetic, and brutal.

She defeats Aldo and then has to confront him again in a courtroom. She taunts him during his time on the stand and he rains destruction onto the court. It all leads to a finale that is explosive, riveting, and a battle to the finish.
