When a modern-day researcher begins to see the spirits of a lost WWII bomber crew, she uncovers the untold story of their final, harrowing mission over Hamburg—and the decades of grief left in their wake.
SYNOPSIS:
The Ghosts of Wellington X3757 is a dual-timeline biographical drama. In 1940, young James Linehan, a gifted mathematician and athlete, defies his family’s wishes to join the RAF. After a turbulent training period marked by self-doubt and the stigma of "Lacking Moral Fibre," Jim finds his place among a diverse crew of New Zealanders, Australians, and Englishmen.
On April 8, 1942, their Wellington bomber, X3757, is coned by searchlights over Hamburg. As the plane erupts in flames, Jim makes a final, desperate attempt to save his friends. In the present day, Jim’s niece, Nicola, uses spiritualism and historical research to track down the families of the fallen crew, finally bringing peace to the "ghosts" who have spent seventy years waiting to be found.
