A reformed gang leader turned covert operative must confront his dark past and risk everything to expose a rogue, racist cop whose violent actions threaten his community—and his own family—in this gritty action thriller exploring justice, redemption, and systemic corruption.
SYNOPSIS:
When a rogue cop, officer Jack Fleming (street name Merc), transfers cross country to surface in San Francisco, Ca. and is involved in the shooting death of an unarmed motorist, he makes the N-W-G sanctions list to investigate his killing of unarmed victims, and bring to justice.
Judge Clemons, having won approval to trial the N-W-G-C-S-S (New World Gangster Crime Suppression Squad) program in the S.F.P.D District where Merc resides, puts J.T.’s crew on the streets moonlighting as C-S-S (Crime Suppression Squad) members intervening in any violent street crimes they might witness patrolling the streets in their black on black classic muscle cars apprehending violent criminals, turning them over to special N-W-P (New World Police) units for arrest, as they covertly stalk Merc.
Tainted by a strict upbringing and past events when he walks in on his girlfriend and a brown skinned stranger in her apartment and the stranger gets the best of him in an ensuing fight, Merc joins the local police force having witnessed the power it could give him in seeking retribution. But, he doesn’t stop there. He gets a crew of like minded officers to play along when he suggests they add a score tally system to their collars, depending on the type of collar it represents (car chase, foot chase, a shooting in the line of duty, etc.), and Merc and his secret red robed disciple brethren go on a ritualistic serial killing spree with racial connotations, and unwarily the bodies begin to pile up and J.T. and his N-W-G crew must figure out his game and how to stop him before he targets his next victim.
J.T. and his crew spark up a bonding relationship with Merc and his crew (which includes a speed draw competition at the shooting range), and begin to gather the information they need to unravel the dark secrets Merc and his secret group of assassins are involved in. But, Merc becomes suspicious and hatches a plan to get a copy of the N-W-G-C-S-S field file.
Having read it, Merc now suspects that J.T. and N-W-G are actually out to get him and his rogue crew. The file also reveals personal information about J.T. and his crew, and Merc begins to stalk J.T. and finds out he has a young son living in Los Angeles (who’s mother is a popular hip hop artist), giving him an ace up on J.T.. It also reveals that J.T. and his crew have made some very dangerous enemies in the past and leads Merc to Colombia and the “White Cartel” drug lord who vows they will help him kill J.T. and his crew. Now, also suspecting the female C-S-S agent who he’s beginning to fall for, and wanting to beat her at her game, he plays along and catches her in his home office one night sending incriminating cell phone photos to her crew members, and after a heated struggle takes her hostage.
Beginning to feel the pressure he plays his wildcard and sends one of his rogues to kidnap J.T.’s son from his home in Los Angeles, for added assurance. Keeping their negotiations under wraps not wanting to risk anything happening to his son or their crew member, J.T. and Merc agree to make an exchange for the incriminating photos. In the meantime, Merc activates his sanctioned Colombian death squad with a phone call to hit J.T. at his home and bring him J.T.'s cell phone.
When J.T.’s number appears on Merc’s phone, he answers expecting the hit team confirming J.T.’s death, but instead it’s J.T. informing Merc the hit team has been erased and if he doesn’t want his journal going viral and his reputation as a serial killer revealed, the exchange goes as planned.
Merc agrees. But, knowing J.T. will continue to pursue him to the end regardless of the exchange, he challenges J.T. and his crew to a winner take all old west style gunfight at the old abandoned Oakland Army Base. J.T. accepts, and he and his crew having been deceptively inept at the speed draw range, has Merc and his crew overly confident the day of the shootout, and a few bullet wounds later, are able to dispatch them and manage to rescue his son and their crew member.
