SYNOPSIS:

Language / Lenguaje is a feature drama, crime, music, and romance story about Javious Hill, a gifted singer whose voice carries both beauty and trauma. As a child, Javious discovers his musical gift in South Central Los Angeles, but his father Reggie’s dangerous debts pull the family into Mexico, where cartel boss Julio Sanchez turns their dream of survival into a nightmare. Years later, Reggie is murdered after trying to protect his family with stolen evidence against Julio’s empire. Javious and his mother Toni escape back to Los Angeles, but the past follows them. When Julio’s men return demanding payment for Reggie’s debt, Javious is forced to use the one gift he has spent years hiding: his voice.A citywide talent showcase becomes Javious’s chance to earn money, save his sick mother, and finally step into the world as an artist. His performance launches him into fame, but every success becomes another chain as Julio uses Javious’s rising career to pressure him, control him, and drag him deeper into danger.
