Mark Deuce, your logline delivers a vivid, high-stakes premise with strong emotional and narrative hooks. The world is clearly unique and the central conflict is well defined: a rookie crewman torn between duty and empathy. The mention of the brother’s former team adds an extra layer of character depth and potential backstory, while the romance and rebellion provide a clear arc. The escalation into a war with the captain gives us a strong sense of rising tension and consequence.
To elevate it to a 5, you might consider slightly refining the structure for clarity and pacing. For example, the phrase “only to confront the brutal trade” could be tightened to “but when he discovers the brutal truth…” to add immediacy. Overall, though, this is a compelling and cinematic logline!
