John Jones becomes homeless after his parents are arrested. Refusing to return to foster care, he secretly survives inside a closed McDonald's, studying, training, and trying to disappear.

Then a wealthy Southern mother and her two athletic children purchase the property and discover John living inside.

Instead of turning him away, they take him in.

Her son, a star quarterback, discovers that John has an extraordinary gift: he can see the football field differently. He instinctively recognizes the spaces defenders can't see—their blind spots.

With the family's help, John develops into an unprecedented multi-position athlete who can dominate almost anywhere on the field.
