A man is gunned down on a busy street that happens to fall under the territory of a notorious drug boss. A lawyer; Olivia Hudson, who’s trying to get back into the good graces of her boss after a botched trial of the notorious drug boss; Omar Jackson, sees the recent murder as her second chance to bring down the bad guy. Only problem is, no one was talking, all the police have is a ballistics report of the bullet that killed the man, the gun was registered to the drug boss who claimed it was stolen from him. Olivia feels she has an edge as the neighbourhood where the man was gunned down was where she grew up and had subsequently escaped from. She goes back to the neighbourhood where she lost her father to the bloody drug war that saw the current drug boss emerge as the winner. Due to a stroke of her genius, she finds an autistic man; Wilson Aldenberg, with an eidetic memory, who had witnessed the murder from a bus stop some distance away. Wilson could make her case if he testifies against the drug boss’ nephew; who we witnessed as the murderer, or he could break it if he crumbles under the cross examination of the ruthless and expensive defense lawyer. The defense realizes that Olivia might win the case as her examination of her witness was not as easy as he thought she would make it. The judge adjourns the case to a week later to allow the lawyers prepare their closing statements. Omar Jackson, begins to panic as his nephew threatens to sing like a bird and cut a deal if he’s indicted. He kidnaps Olivia’s son and tries to use him as a bargaining chip so she drops the case. The instruction was that she should announce she was dropping the case as her closing statement. She finds herself in a dilemma as she knows firsthand the rot the drug boss and his mob has instituted in her neighbourhood. She decides to put her faith in the police and move forward with her case to free the neighbourhood from the clutches of Omar Jackson as she delivers a powerful Closing Statement as the jury indicts his nephew.
