James Midas, a reclusive genius with tragedy in his past must now use a newfound power granted by a weapon of his own creation to escape the mysterious organization he once worked for.

SYNOPSIS:

The episode begins with James Midas, a freelance bio engineer, taking a call in his lab, before leaving with a vile of strange golden goo. He is taken by car to an underground facility in order to meet with Belleman, the man he spoke to over the phone. During the ride, he falls asleep and has a nightmare of someone being left in a room filled with gas. After arriving however, he is betrayed, and injected with his own creation.

James awakens in a blank room with a voice in his head and solid gold skin. James learns he will be used as a test subject and responds by breaking free of his restraints and launching his chair through the wall into the scientists' den, killing several and causing all but two to flee. After a brief altercation with the head researcher, James takes off down the hall in search of an exit. He shoots his way out of the building, finding a way out through the garage and suffering heavy wounds along the way. Upon making it to the surface, in a final desperate bid to get away, James jumps into a nearby reservoir, being washed away down-stream.

James washes up under a bridge and after a bit of back and forth with the creature in his head, decides to seek out help from an old friend. He arrives at a family doctor's office and barely manages to greet his friend, the head doctor, before passing out. Back at the facility, Belleman is priming a method of retrieving James: a behemoth known as Subject Wrath.
