SYNOPSIS:
An alien male and female, along with a newly laid Egg, have escaped the tyranny of their home planet. In
their spacecraft, they are chased through space by Goon enforcers intent on retrieving the egg. The
couple, Polly and Mac, reach Earth orbit but must separate when their ship suffers damage from the
Goons attack. Polly and the Egg eject in an escape pod while Mac struggles to crash land on Earth. Mac
had managed to damage the Goon craft so they also eject in escape pods. The Goons land on Earth and
set out to find the Egg, which has been recovered from Polly’s crashed pod by Manfred, an old Mexican
man who lives in the desert.
Texas Rangers Sam Garrison and Pablo Sanchez are longtime friends and colleagues. Garrison regards
Sanchez as a second father and mentor. Sanchez regularly kids Garrison about his strict adherence to
the law and steers him to being more flexible. Sanchez is on the cusp of retirement.
Ex-Texas Ranger, Jim Reno, is a dealer of stolen art and artifacts. He meets Manfred at his shack and
Manfred offers him the Egg. Reno is astounded at the mysterious object. Before Manfred can explain
where he found it, Garrison rides up on his horse and Reno must exit. Reno returns home with his new
prize and reveals it to his partner and lover, Ava Juarez. She is perplexed by this strange object. During
the night, after being awakened by noises in the house, they discover the Egg is capable of movement.
Reno concludes the object is an Egg enclosed in a protective frame. He decides to find a buyer and
leaves the Egg with his henchmen in a warehouse.
The Goons reach Manfred’s shack and chase him on his burro through the desert. He puts up a good fight
using his burro’s kicking skills but is eventually overcome. As they are about to pounce on Manfred, Polly
fires on them with her weapon, chasing them off. The Goons make their way to a river where several men
have camped out. The Goons kill two of them but one survives by hiding in the river. The police
interrogate the survivor and he tells the tale of giant bird lizard men. Garrison monitors the interrogation
and thinks the man truly believes his own story.
Guardian High Priests, 1st
Guardian and Cracker, have landed to take over pursuit of the Egg. They
encounter police and take their guns after killing them. Their weapons only work once in earth’s
atmosphere. Sanchez and Billy, a rookie trooper, encounter Cracker, at Reno’s warehouse. Cracker kills
Sanchez and Reno scares Cracker off.
The Guardians invade Ava’s mansion looking for the Egg. Mac shows up and scares them away. Then
Garrison appears and encounters Mac. The two square off and Mac escapes. Garrison and Ava go to see
Manfred. Polly is still with Manfred. She sees Ava and tries to relate her plight to her in her own language.
She finally leans in her forehead to Ava’s and transmits her thoughts. Polly runs off.
Garrison and his Rangers square off against Reno and his henchmen in Reno’s warehouse. The
Guardians show up and make off with the Egg. Ava convinces Reno to return the Egg to Mac and Polly.
The group uses a tracker retrieved from a downed Goon to find the Guardian’s ship and they rescue the
Egg.
Ava, Sam, and Reno, wait at an old Spanish Mission, hoping Polly and Mac will track them there. The Egg
hatches, revealing the Chick is like the Guardians. Ava explains that the Guardians adjust incubation
temperature of eggs to create a slave class. Information transferred to her by Polly. Sam agrees the Egg
should stay with Polly and Mac.
The Guardians land their ship in the courtyard of the mission. Garrison and 1st Guardian square off and
as 1st Guardian is about to kill Garrison, Mac steps up. They engage in ritual combat. Ava and Reno
seemingly blow Cracker up with a cannon. Mac is momentarily subdued and Garrison disintegrates 1st
Guardian with an alien weapon he commandeered from a Goon.Everyone says their goodbyes and Polly,
Mac and the Chick fly off in the Guardian’s ship.
