At a roadside diner, a haunted jukebox hints at the night’s dark turn -- until a waitress becomes a hostage when a drug sting goes wrong, forcing an undercover cop to stop the diner’s cook before anyone gets hurt.
SYNOPSIS:
Mandy works the late shift at a quiet roadside diner, where the regulars come and go and the old jukebox always seems to land on the right song. She keeps her distance from Karl, the cook, who gives her a bad feeling.
A mix of late-night customers drift in and out -- truckers, locals, and a few passing through -- each wrapped up in their own small worlds.
What she doesn’t know is that the diner is being watched. James, one of her regulars, is an undercover cop tracking a small drug operation tied to the kitchen and a truck stop across the road. To Mandy, he’s more than just a customer, he’s someone she trusts.
When the sting goes wrong, Karl takes Mandy hostage at knifepoint. James moves in to protect those inside while Mandy struggles to stay calm.
At a critical moment, the jukebox bursts to life again -- its timing impossible to ignore.

The "locked-room mystery in a diner" concept is a classic of film noir, but the integration of the haunted jukebox adds an original twist. There's a remarkable economy of means here: a single location, few characters, and a tension that builds steadily. It's a very "produceable" project.
