SYNOPSIS:

In the eternally foggy town of Mystic Lame, the supernatural drama never sleeps—and neither do the vampires. When 173-year-old vampire Vlad McMoody returns to Mystic Lame High School for the 16th time (due to “unfinished emotional business”), he’s determined to suffer in silence, brood in corners, and write bad poetry in his blood-soaked diary.

But things take a chaotic turn when he meets Luna Barkowitz, a quirky teenage girl who harbors a hairy little secret: she turns into a vicious, pint-sized were-chihuahua during times of stress… and awkward romantic tension. Naturally, Vlad falls in love with her instantly—right after she bites his ankle during biology class.

Their forbidden romance sets off a chain reaction of supernatural absurdity:

• A glitter-obsessed vampire queen (Countess Vesperella Sparkleblade) is trying to take over prom,

• A DJ vampire named Blade Bloodbeat is accidentally raising the dead through EDM,

• And a ghostly ex-teacher (Derek the Disappointed Ghost) keeps breaking the fourth wall to complain about the plot.

Meanwhile, were-jock Bryce Fangington starts howling at fire drills, goth-witch Crystina Grimshaw keeps opening cursed portals during study hall, and Luna’s ghost grandma won’t stop haunting the school vending machine to hand out bad dating advice.

As Mystic Lame High prepares for the biggest event of the century—the Full Moon Blood Prom—Vlad and Luna must navigate ancient curses, glitter-based warfare, surprise vampire exes, and Luna’s unfortunate habit of peeing on things when scared.

But when the Expired Blood Bank runs dry and the town teeters on the brink of supernatural chaos, the misfit squad must unite their fangs, fur, and emotionally repressed feelings to stop an ancient evil from returning (or at least from crashing the dance).
