SYNOPSIS:

CROWN OF THE MOLTEN SEA

When a violent undersea earthquake splits open a volcanic trench in the South Pacific, seismic readings reveal a hollow world beneath the ocean floor — one that should not exist.

The salvage vessel Aurora’s Wake is dispatched to investigate, carrying a mixed crew of marine engineers, geologists, and deep-sea divers led by Captain Rhea Solace, a former Navy rescue diver haunted by a failed mission years before.

Descending through the rift, they discover Nerthis, a sprawling underwater realm where molten rivers and abyssal waters flow side by side. At its heart rises a coral-and-obsidian palace, home to Eurytheia, the Queen of the Drowned Gaze — a serpent-haired goddess whose beauty can petrify flesh into living coral. She rules an empire of half-human, half-serpent warriors and guards the Crown of the Molten Sea, a relic said to control both volcanic fire and the ocean’s depths.

But Nerthis is no paradise. Lurking in its blackest trenches is Thanarion, the Tide of Silence — Death incarnate in skeletal coral and kelp, collecting the souls of the drowned. His power has begun to seep into the mortal oceans, threatening to merge the underworld with the living seas. The sudden rift has broken the ancient pact that bound Death and Medusa apart, and their collision will drown continents in molten tide.

To seal the breach, Rhea and her crew must brave labyrinthine magma tunnels, evade Medusa’s petrifying gaze, and bargain with Death himself. But as the crew dwindles, Rhea discovers the rift can only be closed if the Crown is destroyed — and doing so will sink Nerthis forever, burying its people beneath miles of ocean and molten rock.

With time running out and the seas boiling above, she must choose: save the mortal world by obliterating a hidden civilization, or let both realms be consumed by the Crown of the Molten Sea.
