A young man from Harlem is bitten by a werewolf. 

SYNOPSIS:

WEREWOLF OF HARLEM

Daryl Dane and his friends Malcolm Lattroll and Nick Sellers are African-American Activists who are visiting a countryside, while staying out late in a park they are ambushed by what looks like a large wild animal Daryl slips and falls and Malcolm goes to help him but is attacked Daryl tries to call for help or find something to use but is too late and Malcolm is killed then he is attacked someone shoots the animal who flees wounded but Daryl survives.

Daryl awakes in the hospital as Nick and his family, Ben Dane, and mother Regina Dane tell him Nick called the police, who arrived after the animal was shot and saw it running off. Nick tells him Malcolm was killed and he was hospitalized, Nick returns home to Harlem and reunites with his girlfriend Dara but starts having nightmares. Then is contacted by a man named Walter Block who informs Daryl that he was bitten by a werewolf and is turning into one but dismisses it.

That night Daryl soon finds himself turning into a large wolflike monster and then goes on the hunt and kills, the next morning he awakens to various nightmares about the murders he committed and after seeing the news realizes the truth. Daryl meets Walter who explains he had been hunting the werewolf after it killed his wife, most werewolves avoid humanity but some hunt humans. Walter tells him he had been making a cure believing it effects the bloodstream and Daryl goes to take it when a group of protesters unintentionally damage the cure and ruin it.

Daryl seeing no other choice tries to have himself arrested but punches an officer who does so, Ben and Regina rally the community but are shocked to learn he wanted to be arrested but blow it off. Commissioner John Lake learns from detectives Morgan Peck and Rita Bowe that DNA evidence from scenes of the murders resembles a canine or wolf, but with human DNA in it. Then when Daryl is released, he turns into a werewolf under a full moon and kills a lawyer, as Mayor Donaldson asks if the police officers carry silver bullets.

Daryl escapes as Walter tells the full story and that the protestors just destroyed his chances of becoming human. Dara finds Daryl human and they encounter a man named Clint who is the werewolf who bit him, and now wants to finish it, he and Daryl transform and fight and Daryl kills him and goes after Dara. Daryl’s consciousness manages to come through when the monster takes over and goes after her but is shot and killed by bystanders and police who were looking for them.

As Ben, Regina, and Dara mourn Walter, Lake, Peck, Bowe, and Donaldson work with them to cover it up blaming all the deaths on Clint and begin to wonder how many more werewolves are out there and if the cure is possible.
