A Die Hard scenario at a Puppy Bowl.

It's a thing that happens around the same time as the Super Bowl. 

SYNOPSIS:

TOUGH PUPPY

Alex Davis needing a job agrees to work security and staff at a Puppy Bowl which will air with the Super Bowl, meanwhile a group of criminals led by Clint Kreese secretly invade and take one of the sponsors James Parson and his staff hostage, in order to help cover their recovery of a stolen cache of bank money that was stolen and hidden there years ago.

Alex is drawn into the fray when his estranged girlfriend Blair Blake encounters one of Kreese’s henchmen disguised as an employee and is taken hostage Alex tries to follow and sees the same thing but stays silent but the henchmen realize this and tries to kill him but is killed.

Alex soon realizes what is going on and alerts the authorities and that Kreese had rigged the place with explosives and enlists some of the staff to help defuse them, and surprisingly some of the puppies end up helping them, including one named Spot who helps Alex out.

Together they defuse a final bomb, and the police are able to enter as Alex learns who Kreese is, Alex and Spot find out one of the owners Vance Willaims who has his eyes on Blair and is the reason for their estrangement hired Kreese to find the money and destroy the place for the insurance money. Alex manages to break into the owner's box where the hostages are and saves them, and fights Kreese. Alex manages to kill Kreese and saves Blair and Spot leads the puppies and stops Willaims and the remaining henchmen. Blair rejects Willaims who is fired and jailed and gets back together with Alex and the pair adopt Spot.
