A group of people reveal a love story between a white young man and a black girl in racially divided times a tragedy that followed revealing a surprise. 

SYNOPSIS:

TALE FROM THE PAST

Joanne Drewley and her husband Charlie Drewley are picking up their daughter Isla who was in trouble during a protest that turned hostile. Isla and her brothers Cody, Josh, and daughter Lindy are reminded they have some money troubles, during which the politician they were protesting against David Robinson notices Joanne with a pendant and asks about it. Joanne admits she had for years since the orphanage she was left at until she was adopted, David’s assistant Marwin Gaines secretly takes a picture of it, and they visit an African American family the Morgans and tells them of the pendent and they take an interest. When David visits their school, he brings the Morgans Delroy and Myra as volunteers who have a story about the past.

Years ago, as integration was taking effect though a lot of places where still racially divided, Jonah Robinson is still going to school and must integrate and is partnered with African-American student Flora Morgan, which upsets various members of the KKK who begin resorting to terrorism to make people submit to their wills, even targeting whites, to gain more manpower to stop them the Robinson family willingly hire African-American cops to help stop them. Overtime Jonah and Flora begin to connect, which is noticed by his brother a young David Robinson and Flora’s brother Delroy who remind them of their skin color. But soon Jonah and Flora fall in love, and secretly begin to date, and one day they end up consummating their love and then one day Flora is impregnated with their child

Jonah and Flora with help from David marry in secret, but a former friend who wants to join the Klan finds out and goes to the Klan’s leader Van Lockwood who take action and Jonah and Flora go into hiding for several months until Flora gives birth, and they have a daughter. Lockwood soon finds them and goes after them but Jonah contacts his family and the Morgans, but the Klan finds them and they flee, their families unable to find them, they have no choice but to leave their daughter at an orphanage in secret and they are killed by the Klan. The police finally catch up to them and in a shootout, Lockwood is killed and the Klan surrenders. The Robinson’s and Morgans decide to seek out the daughter unaware of where she is, only that a locket was left with her but in secret to avoid any con artists.

It is soon revealed in a picture of Flora with a pendent revealed to be the locket with Jonah and Flora in them and reveal that through a secret DNA test Joanna is actually Jonah and Flora’s biracial daughter, the niece of David Robinson, Delroy Morgan and Myra Morgan and the heiress of Jonah’s estate and wealth. The Drewley’s money troubles are over as Joanna and Charlie use the money to invest in their kid's future and Isla goes to a collage founded by one of her grandfathers.
