SYNOPSIS:
SAVED FROM ABUSER
Tina Estevez was put in the foster system by her mother because of an abusive boyfriend. Then one day she is approached by Abel and Melinda Boytin a minister and his wife, who tell her they had adopted her and she goes with them. She is introduced to her new stepsiblings but in a month or so things change for the worst.
Abel and Melinda begin to abuse Tina and get mad at her for any little thing and even for nothing and is blamed for things that are not her fault. Even her stepsiblings mistreat and bully her and get her in trouble and the Boytin’s immediately side with them. They change Tina’s name to Esther and that God chose her to be their slave, a babysitter grows concerned and calls social services, but Abel and Melinda use their position to avoid investigation and relocate where the abuse gets worst. Then Abel begins to sexually assault her, and when Melinda finds out she blames Tina and so do the stepsiblings, at her wits end Tina tries to end her life but fails and is hospitalized, police and social services investigate to avoid trouble Abel and Melinda put Tina with Abel’s brother Rick and wife Marcia who are also suspicious. They treat Tina with kindness while their minister helps her understand what the Bible really means, and finally Tina reveals her true identity and the abuse, and they call the authorities and the Boytin's are arrested.
When detectives investigate the agency, they discover the Boytin's didn’t adopt Tina, they kidnapped her, they never met with the agency, signed any forms, or paid any fees. When the agency found her missing to avoid trouble, they lied to her mother claiming she was adopted. The Boytin's continue to lie claiming she was clumsy and is making up stories because she was spoiled and they wouldn’t buy her jewelry and expensive dresses, and their kids back up their lies, but the full evidence of the abuse and the lie about the adoption is enough to expose them. The agency is shut down, while the Boytin's are sent to prison and Tina severs ties to them and their kids and is reunited with her real mother and family and gains a new boyfriend and is an advocate against abuse.
