Die Hard in the White House, where a Secret Service Agent and a Japanese Ambassador's bodyguard join forces to stop a terrorist. 

SYNOPSIS:

RED WHITE AND SUN

Matt Drake is a new addition to Secret Service, and President Ben Brown is inviting Japanese Ambassador Cho Higashi to the White House and during the negotiations a group of Japanese terrorists led by Dai Orisaki invade, Orisaki has had a grudge against Cho for leading the charge that destroyed his family who ran a powerful Yakuza organization. Matt is nearly killed while investigating a strange signal but survives and slips away and fakes his death and goes into battle and runs into one of Cho’s securities Tomo Kamiya who was finishing signing paperwork for Higashi, and the two work together.

During their battle they make contact with Vice-President George Brown who gives them good directions, and they soon realize Orisaki is planning to launch a nuclear football on Japan’s boarders to start a war with China. When Matt notes Tomo taking this personally he admits he is estranged from his wife and seeks a reconciliation with her, while Tomo reveals that his mother was forced to be a Yakuza mistress so he was born into them but his parents chose to leave that life for him, but were killed then when Yakuza were defeated were beaten he was adopted by the Kamiya family who were related to his parents and taught martial arts and Ninjitsu, and joined Cho’s and his security. But many don’t trust him due to his history while Cho’s does.

Matt and Tomo run into White House security detail Kenneth Blaine and discovers him to be a traitor, and they kill him, while Orisaki learns who has been fighting against him. It is revealed that Tomo helped Japanese police expose Orisaki and while the two manage to get past Orisaki’s mercenaries and rescues the Ben and Cho’s kids before going to face Orisaki which Tomo asks Matt to leave Orisaki to him revealing that years ago he and Orisaki trained under the same master, until Orisaki was expelled when he was caught stealing from the dojo so his family killed their sensei.

Orisaki attempts to fake their deaths but fail and Matt and Tomo make it and while Matt takes out Orisaki’s men Tomo and Orisaki engage a ninja battle that ends when Tomo kills Orisaki and Matt and Ben turn off the nukes and with the President Japanese Ambassador and remaining hostages safe they walk out with Secret Service to help them.

The negotiations pull through and Tomo gains respect with his peers as Matt reconciles with his wife.
