Inspired by actual events a family finds themselves stalked by a haunting creature closer than they think.

SYNOPSIS:

RED-EYE MONSTER

The Mason family David, Kathy, and kids Olive and Sam move into a new house with their live in Nanny Nancy. It is a beautiful house and perfect for them, then one night something happens, Sam gets a snack when he sees disembodied red eyes and hears growls. The family assures him it was nothing until while doing the dishes Kathy also sees the creature. David finds out the former owner committed suicide and assumes it was the security keypads lights, but Olive isn’t so sure.

Using some hidden cameras, she sees what looks like the creature and realizes it’s ethereal and shows her father and she and David realizes the image shows the creature away from the security keypad. The parents begin to worry about what is happening, but Nancy assures them they have nothing to fear as it might have a logical explanation for it.

David and Kathy ask Olive to babysit Sam while they investigate and hire a psychic who tells them the specter is tied to the property and lured them there to watch them in an obsession and a piece of jewelry tying it to the land must be destroyed to free it. David and Kathy realize Nancy helped them find the house and when they find old photos of the previous owner and others, they see Nancy and realize the truth. Meanwhile Olive notices something off with Nancy and sees the information on her phone and shares it with Sam and they realize the truth Nancy is the creature, and they flee but Nancy catches up to them and begins hunting them.

David and Kathy find the objects and discover the necklace she wears is what keeps her on the mortal realm and they locate them and David eventually breaks her necklace and frees her. The family learns that Nancy years ago used to work as a governess to a wealthy family until they fell to bankruptcy and could no longer afford her Nancy died on hard times and became a specter tied to the land as the house was built on it and has been luring people there to stay in their service and control them and that the necklace was something the family gave her to help tie her to the land.

The hauntings finally stop and the Mason family lives in their new house for a few more years.
