A lawyer learns a terrible truth after she represents a man who was racially profiled by police. 

SYNOPSIS:

RACIAL

Diane Tatum is a lawyer and social activists who is representing a man named Wayne Bass who was racially profiled and attacked by police, she learns he was helping two women when a police officer named Ray Parker assumed Wayne was attacking them. Ray testifies he saw Wayne attack the two women with a knife which Wayne claims belonged to a family member and he keeps it as an heirloom and was taking it to a friend to get it cleaned.

Diane wins the case and Ray is removed from the force, Diane later learns her firm has partnered with Costello because of an investment he made on behalf of his employee Wayne Bass. Diane is then approached by a woman who accuses her of helping murder. Revealing her son and his friends were killed by gangster Lucian Costello and Ray’s testimony would have put him away for life, but because her Ray’s credibility was damaged and Costello walked free. Diane defends herself and later learns the two women Renee Addams and Fannie Carter also work for Costello. Then while going through some of the paperwork she finds some of her co-workers have been racially profiled and during that time the police officers who racially profiled them were testifying against Costello when he was caught doing something illegal. Troubled by this Diane looks into some of Costello’s assists and finds some employees selling drugs and guns, realizing his true colors she tries to inform Wayne finding out he works there, unfortunately learns Wayne knows as do Renee and Fannie, but escapes and finds out she was framed for drug smuggling. Alerting her boss Charles Wilson, they have no other choice she contacts the police and they team up with Ray then make a realization: for years when Costello had been paying his criminal employees to stage a hate crime against any witnesses then sue to destroy their credibility, then he gets off.

Costello’s men attack, Charles is killed but Ray and Diane escape, Diane and Ray manage to avoid Costello’s men but are found by Wayne who is killed by Diane after he wounds Ray. Diane confronts Costello claiming she will remain silent about the events as long as no one else is killed, and he agrees and confirms her suspicions intending to kill her but learns to late that his confession was recorded live and has been exposed. Costello is arrested and jailed for life along with his henchmen, while Ray and Diane are cleared, Ray returns to work, while Diane ends up working for a new firm.
