A young martial artist faces his past when his crooked uncle tries to shut down his gym. 

SYNOPSIS:

Lester Anders is a timid life-insurance salesman but then he ends up getting mixed in with criminal hitman Anson Sack and ends up killing his wife Sheryl and when the Chief of Police John Lakely comes by he is killed by Sack. Lester takes advantage of the new chief Dick Oswald to make sure he isn’t a suspect and then frames his more successful innocent younger brother Ray for the murders by planting a gun on his nephew Kurt Anders endangering. Oswald believes him and closes the case against the wishes of Becca Cliff who suspected him of lying, and Kurt who tells his mother Pearla (who believes her husband to be guilty) of his trespassing but is disbelieved. Pearla remarries Oswald’s deputy Gene Hockley and has a son named Burt with him, but Kurt is now troubled due to the situation and hates Lester for framing his father. After an altercation with his uncle standing up for a Chinese man his mother and stepfather force him out of the house.

The Chinese man he stood up for is revealed to be Martial Arts master named Jon Kwok who along with his wife Lee take him in as a foster son, and over time he sees Jon and Lee as parents, becomes close with their son Tao and daughter Jade whom he begins dating. When the gym Jon owns is about to close down because of Lester (now a successful businessman) Kurt decides to enter with his foster family’s support, meanwhile the FBI meet him and Becca looking at Sack as a suspect and learn of his connection to Lester. When Sack and his partners find out, they have enlisted Lester and while they have confidence in their top fighter Butcher, they ask him to ask Burt to visit, as he had been supporting his sister-in-law and new husband, and unknown to him they have Brutcher kill Burt and have Lester frame Kurt, but the Asian community backs him. They eventually kidnap Lee and Jade to force Kurt to lose but Tao and Jade turn the cameras and mics on and when Lee gets them talking tricks them into confessing their crimes, Sack murdering Lakely and how Lester killed Sheryl and framed Ray. Jon and the FBI arrive and arrests the criminals while Kurt using a technique Jon taught him to defeat Butcher after a grueling fight. Jon and Tao defeats Sack, while Kurt confronts Lester with Jade and Becca. Lester in an act of cowardice tries to blame the syndicate but they no longer believe him, and Kurt tells him to go to prison and never contact them again, disowning him when Lester tries to kill them, he is knocked out.

Ray is released and reunites with Kurt, Jon, and the Kwok but they walk away from Pearla and Gene. Oswald and Gene are fired and discredited for incompetence and mishandling the investigation, Becca becomes the new chief, and Lester gets life but is killed by Syndicates who found out he betrayed them, and other inmates for letting his nephew die.

In a year after the ordeal Kurt is now married to Jade and they have support from his parents: Ray and foster parents Jon and Lee.
